Online Nomination
Each year since 1968, the Jellinek award has been given to the person considered to have made the greatest scientific contribution to problems relating to alcohol in the research area designated for that year.
The awards are made in four annually rotating subject areas:
- Biological and medical research
- Social cultural and policy studies
- Behavioral (Clinical and Experimental) studies
- Epidemiology, population studies and economics
Only living scientists are eligible for the award. The award committees have generally favored scientists who are likely to continue working in their field rather than those whose active working careers have ended.
Members of the Board of Directors of the Jellinek Memorial Fund are anxious to receive as many worthy nominations as possible. To encourage many submissions, this online form is short and intended to be non-burdensome. Further information will be requested only from those nominators whose nominees end up on the final short list of potential awardees.
